Workshop 1 ½ hour"Know the Male - Yet Keep the Female" (Laotse)
Man and Woman being the prototype of Polarity and the Longing for Oneness
Sexuality and spirituality serve us as healing power on the way to transcend entrenched Identities in the relationship between man and woman.
Four statements
- Great expectations with regard to romantic love, which is supposed to last forever, are reason for the break-up of many relationships (Hamburg Research 2002)
- There is a horizontal (human) and vertical ( divine) dimension to our lives. If a couple
is at home on both levels, their love can grow. - After the age of patriarchy, with the predominance of male values such as activity, pace, decision-making, intention, utilizing things, we need a restitution of balance, where female values will be focus, such as intuition, feelings, openness, sensitivity, care and devotion.
- Tantric sexuality can bridge the gap between the horizontal and the vertical dimension and can therefore add a never, deeper dimension to partnership. Can we use the crises and conflicts in the relationship between man and woman to reach a transformation of narrow and fixed male and female identities? How do male and female Sexualities differ? Can the healing, cultivating and ?becoming divine? of sexuality contribute To a more peaceful world, where love can work as the basic, unifying power? Insights and perspectives from Western couple therapy and Eastern methods of yoga and tantra will provide enlightening impulses for this ongoing transformation.
